Take the Test
You're almost ready to log on and take your tests. But before you do, please review the checklist below to be sure you have all the proper materials and know what to do if you have any questions or concerns while taking the tests.
- I have read about the tests.
- I have a printout of the Technical Troubleshooting Tips.
- I have paper and pen/pencil.
- I have three hours of uninterrupted time to complete the tests. (Note: You must complete all of the tests at one time; you cannot split the testing session into different times.) If I plan on taking the calculator version of the math test, I have a four-function, scientific, or graphing calculator and it is working properly.
If you're ready, click on the Take the Test button below. The PSU Placement Test page will open in a new window and you'll be asked to enter your Penn State ID number and your last name.
Keep this Take the Test page open while you're taking the tests. After you've completed the tests, close the testing window, return to this page, and click on the Advising Day Info button to learn about the next part of your Advising Day activities.
And remember . . . cheating on these tests may lead to higher scores, which could falsely place you into courses that you're not ready for yet. You don't need to worry about the results of the placement tests affecting your admission to Penn State—you've already been admitted. The tests just help place you into the appropriate courses so you can start your education at Penn State on the right track.
