Dr. Michael A. McGinnis, CPSM, C.P.M.

Dr. Michael A. McGinnis, CPSM, C.P.M. is Professor of Business and Business Program Coordinator at Penn State New Kensington. Prior to joining academia Mike worked four years in industry as a packaging engineer and served three years on active duty as a U. S. Army officer. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Michigan State University and a D.B.A. (Doctor of Business Administration) degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and a Lifetime C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager). Mike has published over fifty articles in the academic literature and trade press. He has served on the numerous promotion and tenure committees, numerous faculty search committees, and two years on the Penn State University Faculty Senate. His professional service includes over fifteen years of active participation in the Institute for Supply Management at the local, district, and national levels. Dr. Rujirutana Mandhachitara

Dr Mandhachitara, Associate Professor of marketing, graduated from college (cum laude) at age 19. She then joined a global corporation's (Diegeo Moet Hennessy) five-year executive development program during which time she also completed her Master of Science in Marketing in the evenings. She was awarded a prestigious scholarship for doctoral studies in marketing. During her Ph.D studies she won three international scholarships by essay competitions to study for a semester each at the University of Oxford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New York University. She also won the Most Outstanding Paper prize at the 2002 Thailand Research Fund annual conference and the Best Paper Award at the Academy of Marketing Science’s Global Marketing Conference in 2011.
She is a highly productive researcher with 15 international blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles and 21 refereed conference papers. Dr. Mandhachitara is in demand as a reviewer of academic papers submitted to journals for publication. She continues to maintain her academic connections with Thailand through on-going Ph.D dissertation supervision. In addition to scholarly research, she is very heavily involved in services activities with both campus committees and external initiatives. She is a director of the Pittsburgh chapter of Zonta, a charitable organization originally associated with aviator Amelia Earhart.
Dr. Mandhachitara’s greatest love is teaching and her students seem very appreciative of her efforts to go the extra mile in both classroom preparation and execution. She received the Excellence in Teaching award at Penn State New Kensington in 2011.
Frank A. Santimauro

Frank A. Santimauro is an Instructor of Business at the Pennsylvania State New Kensington, where he has taught management, marketing, finance, statistics, economics, and other courses since fall of 2000. He has a BSBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (1990, management major, accounting and economics minor) and an MBA from Duquesne University (1993, finance and economics concentration). For eight years prior to joining the faculty at Penn State he served as an adjunct faculty member for Community College of Allegheny County (Boyce campus), Robert Morris University, and Duquesne University where he taught business law, college algebra, production management, entrepreneurship, and human resource management. His consulting experience includes serving numerous small- and medium-sized businesses in southwestern Pennsylvania where he worked with manufacturers, retailers, distributors and service providers to develop business plans, marketing strategies, accounting systems, financing sources, and other business related projects. He also developed and presented various business seminars to entrepreneurs in the Pittsburgh region, community business leaders in Beaver County, business students at Geneva College, and an envoy of manufacturing managers from Russia at Duquesne University. Also during the years prior to joining Penn State, Mr. Santimauro developed the backbone of his career as the owner of CAR-1, a small business in the Pittsburgh region providing sales and service to the automotive industry.
Dr. Yang XU

Yang Xu (pronounced as Young Hsü) is an Associate Professor of Business at Penn State New Kensington. She holds an MBA from China Europe International Business School (2000), and a Ph.D. in Business from Virginia Tech (2006). Dr. Xu has taught 12 different courses including Strategic Business Planning, International Management, Basic Management Concepts, Contemporary Skills for Business Professionals, Leadership and Motivation, International Business Operations, Preparation for Career Management, Business Internships, Undergraduate Research in Business, Management and Organization, Management and Leadership Practice, etc. She is the winner of the 2009 Campus Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Xu has published articles in various academic journals such as Management Research Review, Gender in Management and Journal of Education for Business, and presented refereed papers for the Academy of Management, Southern Management Association, Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, and United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Conference. She was awarded grants and scholarships for her research projects and professional development. She also has some working experiences in multinational corporations. She participates actively in the service to the university and the profession, and served as the Chair of the Campus Faculty Senate during 2010-2011. She served on the Membership Committee of Academy of Management Entrepreneurship Division during 2010-2012. She is currently serving on the University College Faculty Council of Penn State University and the Teaching Theme Committee of Academy of Management.
