Penn State New Kensington offers location-bound registered nurses the opportunity to earn a bachelor of science with a major in Nursing.  Penn State New Kensington also offers prerequisite courses for students enrolling in diploma, associate degree and baccalaureate programs.

The Penn State New Kensington degree is identical to the degree earned at the School of Nursing at Penn State University Park.  The 120-credit nursing curriculum is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326, Phone: (404) 975-5000, Fax: (404) 975-5020 and the Commission on College Nursing Education (CCNE), One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530 Washington, DC 20036, Phone: (202) 887-6791, Fax: (202) 887-8476 and is fully approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
