Adult Learner and Transfer Student Orientation
Saturday, August 22, 2015
Time: 9:00 a.m. - noon
The Office of Student Affairs sponsors a special morning workshop session for adult learners and other students transferring to Penn State. This is your best opportunity to meet faculty and currently enrolled adult students to discuss important issues, such as academic success, child care, learning to study, how to juggle responsibilities, etc.
A brief tour of the campus is a part of the program, so bring your class schedule to familiarize yourself with the classroom buildings. Newly-registered part-time and full-time students are urged strongly to attend. Everyone is welcome. This is a FREE program.
For more information and to register, please call Student Affairs at 724-334-6062.
All new students (regardless of age) are expected to complete Penn State AWARE (a sexual assualt awareness learning module), and students who are 21 and under must complete Penn State SAFE (Student Alochol Feedback and Education). Following orientation, please check your Penn State Webmail account for information and updates about accessing and completing Penn State SAFE and Penn State AWARE.
You may log in and complete the Penn State SAFE and Penn State AWARE programs once you recieve the invitation via email. Information and log on for the SAFE and AWARE learning resources can be found at http://edge.psu.edu/firstyear/.
