Being a part of campus clubs and organizations is a great way to meet people, gain important leadership skills, and have fun! We have a variety of clubs and organizations at Penn State New Kensington in which students can participate.

Adult Learner Society This club promotes the interests of adult learners and aims to increase the awareness of the adult learner population to the campus community.

BET Club
The BET Club seeks to provide a means of educational experience in the field of biomedical engineering technology and related fields that is not available in the classroom.  Members can look forward to guest speakers, presentations, tours of medical facilities, and networking with members of the BET field.

Business Club
This club promotes professionalism in the business field. It also provides opportunities for members to explore career options and socialize.

Campus Activities Board (CAB)
This club allows students to assist the Student Life Office in planning fun campus events and activities. Members learn about the exciting world of campus entertainment! Some of the activities planned by CAB include: Back to School Bash, Blue and White Ball, and Spring Fling week.

Drama Club
This club is open to all students who are interested in acting, singing, and dancing, as well as those interested in being stage and light technicians. The club performs several shows a year for the campus and the local community.

Education Club
This club promotes the value of education and the importance of careers in the field of education and provides professional enrichment opportunities and programs for those interested in the field of education.

Engineering Club
This group allows engineering students, or those with an interest in engineering, to discuss the field. Educational speakers are often invited to talk with the club about new technologies.

GIG Club
Group Investigating God.  This group encourages students to ask difficult questions about God and the Bible. They hold Bible studies, group discussions and promote community service.

IST Club
The IST Club strives to expose members to different aspects of technology by engaging in activities such as guest speakers, professional trips, and discussion.

Lion Ambassadors
Lion Ambassadors work closely with the Enrollment Management Office to promote the University and the campus to prospective students. They give campus tours and assist with other recruitment activities. Additionally, Lion Ambassadors represent the campus in the community through volunteer and service activities. Membership involves an interview and maintenance of a minimum grade-point average.  Learn more!

Martial Arts and Self Defense Club
This club is for students with a background in martial arts and those that would like to learn more about this art and the art of self defense

Multicultural Club
This group promotes the awareness of cultural diversity through student-sponsored activities and events that serve to educate about the importance of better understanding and acceptance between all members of the campus community.

Nittany Pride 
The Nittany Pride is the campus newspaper and serves the student body, faculty, and staff at Penn State New Kensington.

Outdoor and Adventure Club
This club promotes healthy living by organizing activities like camping, rock climbing, ski trips, and other outdoor adventures.

Phi Theta Kappa
This society is an internationally recognized two-year degree honors society for students who meet the qualifications. It honors those who have excelled while earning their associate degree. In addition, opportunities are provided for leadership and development.

Psi Chi
The mission of Psi Chi is to produce a well-educated, ethical, and socially responsible member committed to contributing to the science and profession of psychology and to society in general.

Psychological Association
The goals of the Penn State Psychological Association are to enhance the undergraduate experience for students interested in psychology, to serve as a forum for academic issues and concerns, and to promote awareness of the profession and opportunities the profession offers students.

Science Club
This club is dedicated to bringing about an intelligent, conversational environment geared towards the discussion of science related issues.  Participates in field trips to prominent scientific fields.

Soccer Club
The Soccer Club serves to bring together those students interested in playing soccer, promote community interest in the game, and allow opportunities for beneficial physical exercise.

Student Government Association (SGA)
The purpose of SGA is to act in the best interests of the student body by representing student in matters that pertain to them, encouraging extracurricular activities, supporting clubs and organizations, and encouraging communication between the student body, faculty, administration, and staff. The SGA organizes Club Rush and assists in the coordination of fundraising and events on campus. The president of the SGA is also the co-chair of the Student Activity Fee committee. Tau Alpha Pi
Tau Alpha Pi is a national honor society for students who are enrolled in any engineering or engineering technology degree program. In addition, the organization participates in charitable, scientific, and educational purposes.


The Penn State Dance Marathon team raised money to fight pediatric cancer. This is done through various fundraisers during the year and culminates in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon at University Park. THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world and has raised over 61 million dollars for the Four Diamonds Fund.

Urban Gaming Club
The purpose of the Urban Gaming Club is to provide a setting in which various urban games can be played, so students remain active and learn about teamwork, problem solving, and develop a sense of community.

 X-Ray (Radiological Club)
This club provides educational experiences for those interested in the field of radiology, including educational trips. The group also provides information to high school students interested in the field.
