On Day 2 of New Student Orientation, students will:
- Meet new students, faculty and staff.
- Learn their way around campus.
- Attend interactive workshops conducted by faculty and staff to learn about academic procedures, electronic resources and so much more!

Tech Check Session
Electronic resources are key to being successful in college. This session will provide you with essential resources to guide your educational experiences using technology in the classroom, academic planning, communications with faculty, staff, and other students, and more. -
First Year Summer Reading Program
All new students will receive a free book on Day 1 of New Student Orientation and will be asked to read it over the summer. There will be a discussion during Day 2 of New Student Orientation which helps to promote a sense of community and a shared experience for new students.

Life at Penn State
This session is an opportunity for students to see all that Penn State New Kensington has to offer outside of the classroom to enhance their educational experiences. Our student leaders will speak with students about their experiences, be very honest about time management and balancing expectations, and encourage students to take advantage of all the benefits of Penn State New Kensington.
